Consultant, CMC, CISA, CISSP, DTM. Richard brings an executive leadership perspective to strategy and risk management and was involved in the development of ToP methods. He specializes in strategy alignment as a Certified Management Consultant (under legislated authority) with 150 clients on 5 continents across 10 sectors developing and implementing agendas for change, creating deeply-aligned executive team consensus and cascading the new strategy throughout organisations. Richard has over twelve years in corporate development building Deloitte’s Enterprise Risk Management/Cyber Security practices, and six years as VP Strategic Initiatives, building DIFENDA’s cybersecurity practice. As VP/CISO at Aviva Insurance, Richard lead his group’s part in a refresh of business protection; developing SOx controls; BCP implementation; DR renewal; IT Outsourcing, and governance around investigations. His interest in high performance design and expertise in TQM, TPS, Lean, JiT, Kaizen, Socio-Tech Redesign, and ISO Management/CI Systems has brought companies like Magna, Honeywell, Bell and Cimco through major competitive performance challenges. Richard led process execution capability and predictability system assessments for organisations, like BMO and OPG, as General Manager of one of Canada’s first Federally accredited ISO certification bodies.
