The Power of Image Change In Transformation

Good facilitation and teaching can result in good performance, but extraordinary facilitation can lead to positive changes in how people see themselves and each other. These deep life perspective changes result in behaviour changes. Motivation is sourced from a far deeler level. This is the power of image change. In this course, learn the mental modeling which can change self-image and behaviour. Facilitators can use this powerful understanding to generate motivation, momentum and action within a group. Imaginal Education is ICA's methodology for shaping perception, exposing assumptions and creating mental models.

These 2 popular in-service training programs are examples of what ICA can provide for your school. Please contact Jo Nelson to discuss these and other possibilities.

Focused Conversation Method for Educators

This one-day active learning program is based on The Art of Focused Conversation for Schools. It teaches the focused conversation method through demonstration, theory, and grounded practice, using situations and conversations from real life schools. At the end of the day, participants will be able to apply the conversation method in their own daily work, whether in classrooms, staff meetings, on the playground, or in parent council meetings. It is recommended that a copy of the book be included for each participant.

Data-Based School Action Planning For Improved Student Learning

This is a one day training process that will give principals and planning facilitators a practical tool to involve school councils and staff in creating school action plans for improving student learning. You will receive a practical workbook and facilitator’s package that will guide you in facilitating a group to create concrete, real, and workable action plans that meet the school’s real needs. The two sessions include a demonstration of the process, debriefing, and practice so that you will be confident in applying the process. All necessary steps are included in the workbook.
